Grand Canyon winter
Buttes caped in the whitest robes
Pure and unspoiled
A picture perfect postcard
Painted by the Master’s hand
≈
A beautiful sight
Burnished under an endless sky
Her majesty unchallenged
She harbors life in this cold
Though her shores appear barren
≈
Deer, eagle, rabbit
All survive her harsh winter
As done for eons
Wondrous in their fortitude
Man has yet to ruin them
≈
Protected from harm
One of the seven wonders
She most surely is
May this always be so
For generations to come

Beautiful words to match a beautiful image! Lovely. ❤️
Thank you so much, I’m glad that you liked it. 🙂
Let’s hope so – hoping it stays protected and beautiful — hoping all we visitors don’t love it to pieces. o.O
Great series —
Let’s hope it does stay protected. So far they have done a very good job, but special interests tend to throw a wrench in things when there is money to be made.
Awesome wintery post.I been to the Grand Canyon twice but in the summer.Best regards.Jal
It really is very beautiful in the winter as well. The last time I was there in the winter I was working and when I came out of the building I was in the entire property was full of deer. It was incredible.
Its God given beauties to our gorgeous America.Regards.
Well-captured… I’ve been several times but never seen it like that. 🙂
Thank you Kev, it is just as beautiful a place in winter as it is in summer.
’tis indeed!
