You are exactly right. The “right” loves to throw that phrase out to poor people and like you said you must have boots to have boot straps, it seems rather self-righteous and prejudicial to me coming from multi-millionaires.

Thank you Nicodemas, this type of thing has been happening for a very long time and it really needs to stop. Unfortunately it is so ingrained in our perverted form of capitalism that I doubt it will anytime soon. I also had to throw in the “Obamacare” line because everything regarding healthcare or benefits seems to get blamed on him even it the problem started 30 years ago.
