Feel sorry for flowers when you get some warmth and they come out just before a cold snap.
Very true. I think that we are about done with our cold snaps if you can call them that. I’m getting ready to plant my vegetable gardens now. 🙂
Well, we just started here. Snowstorm was a mess, but it went further east than expected.
I was watching, I’m glad you guys didn’t get hit as hard as they anticipated. Stay warm…that’s all you can do. 🙂
Oddest thing: People are angry that the meteorologists and media were wrong. It’s as if they wanted the storm to be bad. I’m sure these same people would be angry if things were downplayed and we actually got nailed. People really are strange creatures.
They certainly are and it is actually really funny watching the “after-storm” commentary on the cable news networks, they almost don’t know what to do with themselves. This morning they were doing comparisons of the models used to predict the storm and mentioned the fact that they used the North American models instead of what I believe was the European model for predicting the storm. Apparently the European model, had they used it, was accurate. All I know is that when Mother Nature wants to change her mind she will and there isn’t any model that can predict that accurately 100% of the time.
Journalists really don’t know what to do when a story goes in a direction that they didn’t see coming. Almost like the news isn’t under their control. 🙂
Isn’t that the true of course our “journalists” are not the caliber of the ones of the past, but hey what are you going to do. 🙂
There has to be a few gems out there. Just hard to find.
Brave little flower there.
Yes it is, of course it really isn’t cold here so I had to use a bit of imagination and past experience for this one. 🙂
