Fraught With Peril This Thin Line – Rebel

Fraught with peril this thin line

Once crossed will wither and die

Not so wide, but ever so fine

Our elected few seem eager to try

Mad men with power where nary have tread

Kindle the fires of conspiracy and hate

Ever so close the majority dread

A nation’s short history left to fate

This cresipise so deep we fear to fall

    Bottomless pit will never end

Left to the tyrants this funeral pall

To torments wrath we writhe and bend

What’s to be gained by ignorance hold

    Believing the fools venomous bite

Taking their word more precious than gold

That is til exposed by reasons light

Hope springs eternal as the old saying goes

May the ruinous seed be cast back to hell

Sooner or later nobody knows

Righteousness waits the toll of the bell

This sickness not us wailed from the heart

A cure lies ahead in the booth

Now is the time never too late to start

The lever must suffocate their truth

Time to rebel dead ahead in our hands

    Never more urgent then now

Traitors that poison the mind and the land

Must be buried by the blade of the plow

Rise up! Rise up! You sheepish bunch

Stand up to the villain’s rusted sword

Truth lies before you much more than a hunch

Trample to dust his evil hoard

If not for yourselves for your progenies sake

Stiff your spine before time slides away

Your souls are their plunder and more they will take

Mark these words spoken this day

Do You Know The Cost

Do you know the cost

Hatred, discrimination

Rot society

Licensing vile factions

To spew ugly rhetoric

We hear this danger

From the pinnacle to base

Brothers and sisters

Singled out for their difference

Treated as misfits…pariahs

Leadership for all

A political promise

Faded at “I will”

We’re racing to the bottom

Tethered to an ignorant

Explain your blindness

Your willingness to sell out

Friends and family

On the words of a blowhard

Who we now call President

He’s Scorching The Earth

He’s scorching the earth;

Smell of sulfur permeates

From Hell’s fiery pit.

Long buried deep underground

His minions have arisen;

Blindly following

Abaddon’s vile deception

Like mindless rabble,

Anarchists legitimized

By the greatest deceiver.

Now’s the time for the

Thundering of the Shofar!

Time to declare war

In our fight for decency…

This nation’s identity.

We must not succumb

To conspiracy theories,

To the Fallen’s lies.

He will not be your savior

But instead your worst nightmare.

There’s still time…repent!,

Wake up before it’s too late

From this horrid dream.

We deserve better than this

Better than this Satan’s lies.

Greatness Is Hidden

Greatness is hidden

Behind a curtain of fear

Vile and ugly

Truly…what is to be gained

For the lecherous many

~

A green light to hate

Harkening back to dark times

When race reigned supreme

Murder was freely sanctioned

With some holding little worth

~

We aren’t this people

Covered in blood and blackness

We are so much more

Look deeply into your soul

See the light that calls your name

~

This light is called love

And we are charged as shepherds

Tending to its flock

What’s best of America

Exists behind this veil

Division On Stage

Division on stage;

Peddling war and hatred

To the cheer of crowds.

Angry white folks rebelling

While wrapped in the flag.

Our face is changing…

Diversity’s taking hold

And cannot be stopped

No matter how hard you try.

Time has come to embrace it.

Can You Smell The Winds Of Change

Can you smell the winds of change?

Not confined by border or ethnicity;

It cares not about race, creed or color.

For so long the grass has been trampled,

Crushed under ornate boot heels,

Mowed down by the sharpest of blades

With no thought of the consequences.

Resilience is the way of nature.

Young shoots and saplings rebound,

They cannot be kept down.

Can you smell the winds of change

As they comes for you?

Your palaces and coffers cannot protect you,

Shuttered windows cannot save you,

We are not fooled by your fained sympathy,

Looking us in the eyes from marbled balconies

And lying through your yellowed teeth.

You do not know our condition!

You do not know our pain

As yours are the boots that have ground us to dust!

Take your hollow words and scream into the wind.

Choke on the vomit you spew,

Knowing that the end is near

And it is you that will be crushed

For all of the harm that you have done.

I Sat To Pray

I sat to pray

And screams of hate

Shattered the peace.

I question what I believe!

How can I prescribe to something

That judges…most un-Christlike,

The heart and soul of another;

Claiming to know the mind of God

And to speak with certain authority

On His behalf.

How hypocritical this seems!

Christ did not judge the beggar,

Nor the Samaritan;

He loved them both

And that was his lesson.

Sadly, you seem to have been deaf,

For you judge, most cruelly

Those that do not fit your view.

You proclaim to the Heavens your Christianity,

But clearly have forgotten the words of Christ

Written so plainly in Mark 12:31:

“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

There is none other commandment greater than these.”

Surely you must be filled with self-loathing,

For treating another soul with such contempt

Defies God’s most precious command.

Revolution

Rage seething under the surface

Eating away at our collective souls

Vitriol has been lodged against us

Only further stoking our resolve

Lost is our trust in the institutions

Undoing the work of the founders

Til only one response seems clear

Insurrection

Outright revolt against the tyrants

Neutering the petulant bunch
