Bridges not of steel
But built of trust and respect
Demolished by words
All that we say and do has
Consequences long after

A glimmer of hope
All it takes to change the world
…Sparks can cause a fire

Blood is thicker than water,
Remember the old saying,
Oftentimes we are guilty of forgetting.
The invisible ties that bind cannot be broken,
How hard we try, it matters not.
Eternity knows what only we can share,
Regardless of our differences, neither
Strife nor distance can break us apart.

Sunset walks with friends
Through familiar neighborhoods
The peace of friendship
Never needing to wear masks
To hide who we really are
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Unconditional
The love shown by man’s best friend
It’s interesting
Maybe we could learn something
From our four-legged partners

Lonely souls drowning
Choking on beer and pretzels
At the local dive
Bartenders smile for tips
Acting like you are best friends
This is your charade
The fantasy that you play
Just for survival
While they’re in it for money
You’re in it for attention

We are one world
Though we seek ways to divide
Is peace so painful

What’s the Story?
After their battles in Gaia and surviving the Island of Pallice, the champions of Windemere are off on their next adventure.
In his quest to be a hero and help others, Luke Callindor has jumped into danger countless times and would do so again without hesitation. So when he is infected by the toxic Dark Wind, it is up to his friends to find a cure and keep his courage alive. With time running out and their enemies in the shadows, one ally will make the decision to share in Luke’s suffering and forge a bond that runs thicker than blood. Such a sacrifice might not be enough when the truth behind this living curse comes to light.
Will Luke find the strength to defeat the Dark Wind? What ghosts from his past will appear during his weakest hour?

AUTHOR BIO:
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. We spend so much time segregating ourselves into categories,
That we forget we are all the same.
We are born, we live and then we die,
This is non-negotiable.
Maybe if took the time to walk in our brother’s shoes
We would be less hurried to take vengeance
And this world would be a more peaceful and beautiful place.

Solemn and desperate we walk this earth
Spending life in a quest for the Almighty.
The One we think we know through books
Through hymns,
Through symbols,
Through statues,
Through all manner of mankind’s understanding.
Living this life for the hope of something better;
Squandering precious time at the crossroads,
Looking north, south, east and west directionless
Leads to an unfulfilled life–
One of sadness and regret as this door closes.
Assuredly this is not what is thirsted for,
Nor what the Creator desires for his children
Yet we pretend to be omniscient;
Claiming to know what God wants of us,
Acting as judge and jury over our fellow man.
Even the Bishop of Rome has seen the light saying,
“Who am I to judge” realizing his humanness.
What if we were to love our fellow man,
Love ourselves enough to live life to the fullest,
Wouldn’t we be living as we were designed to,
Letting bygones be bygones?
