Day to remember
Like so many seen lately…
Anniversary.
Nine murders in Charleston
Changed nothing in this country.
What has to happen
To stir the minds of Congress,
Perhaps a revolt…
One that cannot be ignored
Regardless of the money!
People have value,
Trumping the death peddlers
Who profit in blood.
Now another forty nine
The next anniversary.

Times do change and so must we

Before I get any angry comments I’d like to make it clear that I am not anti-gun ownership. I do however, believe that assault style weapons are unnecessary for the average citizen to own for personal protection or otherwise. We continue to make excuses that banning assault weapons wouldn’t have changed anything and so our leaders have chosen to do nothing and as a result nothing has changed. We continue to see an increase in mass shootings and an ever greater amount of death with the murders weapon of choice…the assault weapon. When will one more death be too many?

Give thoughts and prayers for the dead
Round and round we go

Blood red,
The rainbow bleeds
A river born of hate.
You dare not question God,
He is perfect,
He is perfection by your own admission.
How then are they an abomination?
Are they not created by God,
Are they not flesh and blood and bone,
Are they not born,
Do they not die?
You…yes you are the blasphemers!
You will swim in the lake of fire on judgement day!
How dare you question God!
How dare you judge His perfect creations,
Taking their lives as if they were nothing.
If God truly is omnipotent,
Then they are just as worthy in His eye as you are,
Deserving the respect,
The honor
And the love
Afforded to all the children of God.
