    Unfortunately the messed up law is what saved the accused (in addition to the victim not being able to share his side of the story).
    Very sad.

      Yes it is, but I suppose that this is the legal system that we have to live with. Maybe it is not as good as some, but I suppose that it is better than most.

    I will never understand the Canadian or American legal system. Here in Quebec if you murder your two young children you get to go free, If you have late charges on a library bood you get to do jail time..screwed up ( pardon the language) . Interesting tanka !

      I agree, it seems that our justice systems dish out so much injustice that it is almost laughable. A very sad state of affairs indeed. I appreciate the comment, thank you.
