Do You Know The Cost

Do you know the cost

Hatred, discrimination

Rot society

Licensing vile factions

To spew ugly rhetoric

We hear this danger

From the pinnacle to base

Brothers and sisters

Singled out for their difference

Treated as misfits…pariahs

Leadership for all

A political promise

Faded at “I will”

We’re racing to the bottom

Tethered to an ignorant

Explain your blindness

Your willingness to sell out

Friends and family

On the words of a blowhard

Who we now call President

Heavenly Sun Wanes

Heavenly sun wanes,

Applauded by dusk’s silence…

Ovation of gods!

Cherished by the lowliest,

Taken for granted by man.

~

Without any thought,

We reap her fruitful bounty

With veracity.

~

An ungrateful child

Would offer her greater thanks…

Yet we laud her not.

Perhaps it’s human nature

Or maybe we’re simply fools.

Threats Of Violence

Threats of violence,

Assassination condoned

Where is his outrage!

He stokes the fires of hatred

Ignoring consequences

This is disgusting

And must be squashed abruptly,

He’s clearly not fit!

Still crowds are cheering for him

Egging on his fickle rants

They are lunatics

Claiming to be patriots,

When did we devolve.

This election has choices

And Trump must not be the one!

You Non-believers

You non-believers

What will it take for you to

Realize the truth

There are things beyond this world

That none of us can explain

Demons, shadow men

Ghosts lost in between the worlds

This is nothing new

Look back to antiquity

They existed before Christ

So Beyond Belief

So beyond belief

Tell me, how far is too far

Man’s insanity

On display for all to see

Embarrassing our nation

His “locker room talk”

Objectifying women

Image…criminal

Insincere apology

As if it’s boys being boys

Victims come forward

Only to be called liars

Publicly abused

Assaulting them once again

Treating them as pariahs

Love him or hate him

Bill’s not running for office

Stand and be a man

Your words are on the record

It’s time to stop deflecting

You lie to your “fans”

Who excuse your behavior

As you said, you “love

The poorly educated”

You are a disgrace

When it’s all over

Hopefully you’ll disappear

From the nation’s sight

Leading your “deplorables”

To the Hell you’ve created

Division On Stage

Division on stage;

Peddling war and hatred

To the cheer of crowds.

Angry white folks rebelling

While wrapped in the flag.

Our face is changing…

Diversity’s taking hold

And cannot be stopped

No matter how hard you try.

Time has come to embrace it.
