You were happy–I saw it in your eyes
Dreams at your fingertips–unstoppable
Then I saw the flame flicker–extinguished
Snuffed out like a candle by judgement
You never rose again from the ashes
Your hopes and dreams cremated

That’s a sad and scary thing to think about. Forgot who said it, but dreams are what makes life worth living.
That was a wise person who said that, much wiser than I.

crushing worlds
They can be very painful indeed.
But some ashes are the most fertile and from them can spring beautiful new dreams.
And I certainly hope they do for those whose dreams have been crushed.
