Analog has gone digital,
So much information so quickly,
What is truth and what is a lie, who knows.
They scorch the earth for an exclusive,
Relegating to the urn any semblance of journalism.
Erasure of the line between fact and fiction was inevitable
With each news segment fusing shock and entertainment!
Relaying stories in sound-bites,
My dyspathy grows with each passing day.
Mr. Cronkite’s bones must rattle at their blockade to reason,
With a charge of foul play at their lack of professionalism.
What a disgrace these vultures are…
Scarcely worth the carbon they’re made of.

PROMPT: Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie – Wordle # 52
I agree! Especially about Mr. Cronkite!
Thanks Carol, I miss real journalism not the dung that we are given today. 🙂
This is an excellent use of some difficult words …comprehensive clever and brief. I hope you continue with the wordles. I’m curious to see what you come up with for the next lot….impressed!
Thank you Cressida. I have done some of these in the past and really enjoy them. I will certainly be doing more in the future. Thanks again.

Cronkite, and Mike Ryoko, and others, where have they gone? Who profits from their disappearance? One thing for sure: uneducated people and lazy journalists are easier to control…
The certainly are easier to control. Honestly, there really aren’t real news outlets left in the U.S., our homegrown news has become nothing but sensational entertainment living off soundbites and scrolling tickers at the bottom of our screens. I guess this is what we will have to live with for now.
