I know this is meant to be a humorous piece, but the lines ‘If man’s truly meant to fly/He would sprout feathers and wings’ got to me from an emotional standpoint. I reflected on the idea of wanting to fly away to a better place, both in location and in my life in general. Sometimes, I do feel like the caged bird in Maya Angelou’s famous poem, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way…

I sometimes wish that I too could fly away to a better place, but I suppose that it is only natural from time to time when difficulties face us.
