Self-esteem – A Tanka

Self-esteem of youth

Broken by thoughtless discourse

Like carnival glass

Scattered in minuscule shards

Is laborious to mend

Thank you so much, this is a really difficult for children to deal with.

I do like this one. It is true. Self esteem for a kid – especially teens is hard to come by – it was for me.

Thank you Kimberly, this one was hard for me as well. I was tall, awkward, not at all athletic and not the least bit a hit with the girls, all this made my teen years difficult. Sadly, I am still tall, still awkward and still not athletic although I try. As far as the girls go, I found the one for me so I don’t have to worry about that one anymore…thank God. :)

    nice poems
and a good training for me (english isn’t my native language)
Feel free to correct my texts when you want
    greetings

No need for correction. I am so impressed with people that are able to speak English as well as you do when it is not their native language. I would love to be able to speak another language, but I just don’t seem to have the aptitude for it. Welcome and thank you for reading my poems.
