Strained Parental Love (Tanka)

Strained parental love
Clashing personalities
Mother and daughter
One lashing out in anger
Are they just too much alike

I know people in this situation. Two people are so alike down to the flaws, so it creates conflict.

I’m sure that this is exactly that case, it is bizarre.

Uh oh….. It is always difficult dealing with a mini version of ourselves. Bday bit and I could be like this – when he was younger. It is challenging enough as it is dealing with ourselves…. Then add a mini – younger version……Oy!! I suppose we will get the last laugh when we are grandparents and can spit out the I told you so’s!!!!!!! Cute poem;)

I just find this odd and it has been going on since she could talk. Now she is in high school and the “headbutting” continues. Then they both get upset and I’m stuck in the middle to clean up afterwords.

Great poem…it hits home very deeply…unresolved “anger” …hoping time will heal…it is very difficult.

It is difficult as I don’t have this problem, hopefully time will resolve it. Thanks for the support Oliana, I appreciate it.
