Pain…like no other
Living–wrong side of the tracks.
Dirty and hungry;
Sunken eyes reveal sadness
Under shroud of filthy streets.
Urchins you call them,
Throwaways to be ignored,
Wastes of human flesh.
Where is your humanity?
They’re people like you and me
Children of this world
Worthy of our sympathy
Worthy of our love
You best take heed!
For one day it may be you
That is spit upon.

We need to remember these wise words that were very well said!
Thank you very much Carol.
It is very difficult to find artistic worth some times. Thank you for the push in the right direction. And your point in part is that I have received too many that I ignored, antagonized, side-stepped, or stepped on. Or maybe I stepped on the pushers. The do-gooders. Well.
I think you have the point here, thank my friend.
No matter what side of the tracks — or what country — people are still people and should be treated with respect. Great work to remind us of this.
You are absolutely right, sadly too many people forget that.
Aye, you never know when it’ll be you on the end of life’s lessons in humility.
Very true indeed.
