I am daily blessed
Wanting nothing more of life
Than that which I have
My wife and children comfort
These are all I need
Perhaps I’m simple
Unmotivated to some
But I am happy
One day I will pass smiling
While they wallow in regret
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
I don’t think you’re simple – just very wise. Huge smiles.
Thank so much Belinda, I really do appreciate the compliment. Hugs to you dear friend. š
You are so very welcome!
Yes! Perfect. š
Thank you Victor, that’s very nice of you to say. š
You are wise and rich with love around you. Lovely poem! Only fools would laugh.
Thank you Cheryl-Lynn, I do feel rich even if my bank account begs to differ. š
Ah, there too many things money could never buy.
You are correct and many of them are more precious than any amount of money. š
I don’t think ‘simple’ is an insult. I think there’s a power and beauty in simplicity, and you knowing what makes you happy is a wonderful thing.
Thank you August, I like to think so as well. There is peace in try to live simply.
A beautiful poem!
Thank you my friend.
I am so happy for you, dear heart! A hard lesson in life, to be content!! š
It really is, I find that as I’m getting older I don’t desire as many material things as I did in youth and I have to say that I like living this way much better. Family and friends are what is important in life, not things. š
I believe that is the kind of simplicity to strive for! And to treasure when you get it….
Thanks for role modeling that belief.
My pleasure and thank you for reading. š
I agree wholeheartedly. š
