Suspicion (Acrostic)

Scent of musk

Undulating in my nostrils,

Somehow I know it’s not mine.

Pretend that you have been faithful,

Infidelity is so unbecoming on you.

Cautious smiles flirt across your face.

I know that you know that I know the truth;

Only denial seems much less painful.

Now for the encore.

  1. I did not click the “like” button because the subject is too sad to like. I comment to say it is well written and conveys the message about the heartbreak of suspicion. I hope this feeling you describe is not something that you are actually experiencing.
