Looms large over the fallen
Raining blood and tears
Some choose to help, some to pray
Some choose to turn a blind eye
Or no choice at all
Afraid it might be too real
Who am I to judge

It’s an amazing range of emotions you see in disasters like this. A surrealness to the event to if you haven’t seen or felt anything like it before.
I feel myself very fortunate that I haven’t experienced something like this before and never to have to go through it. The many hurricanes I have been through in my life, pale in comparison to something as devastating as this.
Worst for me was Superstorm Sandy. That doesn’t really compare.
In my almost 40 years of living in New Jersey I am thankful that I never went through a storm as bad as Sandy, but I suppose your are right, it doesn’t compare to the destruction in Nepal.
The storm was something new for the area. In fact, the last few big storms don’t seem to match the region.
