He’s Scorching The Earth

He’s scorching the earth;

Smell of sulfur permeates

From Hell’s fiery pit.

Long buried deep underground

His minions have arisen;

Blindly following

Abaddon’s vile deception

Like mindless rabble,

Anarchists legitimized

By the greatest deceiver.

Now’s the time for the

Thundering of the Shofar!

Time to declare war

In our fight for decency…

This nation’s identity.

We must not succumb

To conspiracy theories,

To the Fallen’s lies.

He will not be your savior

But instead your worst nightmare.

There’s still time…repent!,

Wake up before it’s too late

From this horrid dream.

We deserve better than this

Better than this Satan’s lies.

Beautiful liar

Using your looks to deceive

Deadly black widow

You’re Fooling Yourself

You’re fooling yourself

Thinking you’re invincible

Showing arrogance

You are not untouchable

You are still human

Strength in ignorance

Is not really strength at all

But simply weakness

Disguised under a facade

Of false bravery

There is a War

There is a war though weapons are words,

A rallying cry to ignorant herds,

Of who to fear and who to blame,

The right they do fire with venomous aim.

What progress we’d made seems now reversed,

Like empires of old we may now be cursed,

To end up in ruins under gluttonous rule,

Forgetting the history we learned in school.

Living in denial those culprits it serves,

Lying and deceiving with icy steel nerves.

All for more profits like parasites they leach,

Thriving in the fact that their money is speech.

Distracting the people with treacherous claim,

From Middle East to Mexico these people they blame,

For jobs leaving home and the state of our nation

By blustering and mongering and thunderous oration.

Their facts they are thin or nonexistent at all,

“Take back the country” their clarion call.

Take us back to where I wish they would tell,

To segregation and intolerance by the hatred they sell.

“Earlier times” only serves if you’re white,

Blacks and hispanics and Muslims must fight

To be looked in the eye and on even plain

With the privileged Americans that view them a stain.

If this be the direction the capitalists must take

On the backs of the common man they push til they break

Then revolution again must be waged to finally break free

From the tyranny of Monarchs they so want to be.

This is our duty and a citizen’s right

To question and challenge and bring wrongs to light,

For failure to do so is submission to rule

Painting you and I as nothing but fools.

A Living Wage

A living wage…

Is it too much to ask?

The unions fought for you,

Many died for you

Yet now you treat them as evil.

Who does this benefit?

Look at your stagnant wage,

Feel the fear of losing your job.

Each closed door meeting brings anxiety.

There is no loyalty from above,

Dollars and cents are their gods now.

You have been weakened and betrayed,

But you don’t see it…this is capitalism.

The promised trickle has all but dried up,

Living paycheck-to-paycheck your way of life.

Whatever happened to the middle class,

The comfortable life, retirement,

It is all just a dream relegated to history,

While the upper crust bathes in their gold.

Still you cast your ballot for your own demise.

Lower taxes will not bring you comfort,

Later retirement will not bring you joy,

Minimum wage will not support you,

Healthcare vouchers will not sustain you,

Social Security will not carry you to the end.

So what is it you want?

We are being ravaged at every turn,

Still you are too blind to see it.

Watch these buffoons on stage,

Telling you they care about you…the little man?

These millionaires and billionaires don’t care about you!

They only care for themselves

And their wealthy friends that bought them.

We Believe The Lies

We believe the lies
Drinking in hollow kool-aid
The magic potion
Then morning comes–hangover
Surprised that you have been fooled.
The ads–deceitful
Never had any substance
Yet you watched and cheered
Now, live with your ignorance
May it be all that you hoped

Blustery Emotions (Sonnet)

Blustery emotions we never quite reveal,.

Held closely to the breast, we keep hollow charade

In clutching to desire, allowing us to feel

Passion for our lives behind handsome painted facade.

What pray tell do these falsehoods promise portend,

But misery and suffering at their wretched feeble hand.

Lies behind a masquerade, this be all that it sends

As it passes through the narrow, the hourglass sand.

To whom doth this harm, dishonesty deceive,

None other than ourselves with a lifetime of regret.

Whilst in our final hour, its our soul that we grieve,

Taken to the grave, eternity ne’er forgets.

Would truth not have been wiser, to others and ourselves,

For in the end lies get washed away like watercolors–not pastels.
