A cataclysm
Things…
Not just any things, but everything
Erupting…
Spewing fire, rock, ash
Vesuvius in the flesh
Raining devastation in torrents
Emotions flooding
Consuming everyone…
Nothing is spared
Rage uncontrollable
Wielding immense power
Resulting in blood and tears
Those that worship are left in ruins
Blaming themselves…
Their actions for this travesty
Without shame
Destructive behavior persists
Until there was nothing left
Nothing, but ashes and rubble
And a legacy of carnage
That will last for generations

Makes one think – are we on this path?
Very thought provoking. 😉
Very good question, I certainly hope not. 🙂
abuse is not pretty… and the scars last a lifetime…
They certainly do and it is so very sad. Thanks for the comment Roxi, I appreciate it.
Very powerful message here and as usual, so well said.
I appreciate that, thank you. 🙂

A powerful message…
How nice of you to reblog my poem, I truly appreciate you kindness and support.
Serendipity…it just seemed to fit well after I completed my DungeonPrompt on Guilt…My pleasure…you really write beautifully.
🙂
Possibility land but let’s hope not.
“Vesuvius in the flesh” I could visualize the abuser with these words.
Thank you very much, the line just came to me and it seemed to work. 🙂
