Actually, I wrote this one for my grandmother who is 102 years old soon to be 103 on November 15th, but unfortunately her reasonably good health has deteriorated rapidly over the past couple of months and is now only expected to live a few more weeks. She is one of the sweetest, calmest, most saintly people that I have ever met and I was just thinking about what one might be thinking when they are faced with their inevitable end. I’m so glad that you like this, it means a lot to me. 🙂
Wow. 102 yrs old. I could not imagine – all that she has seen and experienced – history. What a gift. This is a beautiful piece. I like it very much. xx
Thank you Kimberly, I often think about the things she must have seen in her lifetime, I can only hope to have a life like hers with her health of course. 🙂
Lovely poem and beautiful tribute. My thoughts are with you and your family. Your grandmother has lived a long life and perhaps her presence was to teach and spread her goodness down to many generations. Blessings.
I am in awe of the words you’ve written. To know you wrote them while thinking about how your grandmother is meeting death makes it all the more tender and magnificent. Lovely, absolutely lovely.
Lovely piece. Are you contemplating life and death and the afterlife? Beautiful writing coming from a lovely spirit. xx

Thank you for the kind words, she is such a beautiful person and even though her life has been long somehow it makes it no easier.
