Yet another name

Etched in the blackest granite

Written with their blood

We are called to remember

Each and every spring–in May

Recognizing them

Honoring their families

Their sacrifices

A debt we can not repay

Except with our hearts and minds

  1. The British lost 19000 soldiers on July 5th 1916 on the Somme in one day… Memorial Day thru out the world, 750000 French and German solders were killed at Verdun…
