Yes, it is. They live on in our memory.
Yes they do, that is such a wonderful thing especially if they are good memories. 🙂
I wish so. Thoughtful writing. 🙂
Thank you so much HA, I appreciate it.
As long s someone remembers you, you’re never truly gone.
That is very true. 🙂
Beautiful and thought provoking Tanka. Indeed, I believe that is why writing and story telling are so important. Passing down those skills transforms memories into stories that we can apply to our lives through action. Transcending dendrites, and becoming seeds of future growth.
Thank you for saying so Bill, I hope that these types of skills are never truly lost, they are so much a part of us as a species.
Thanks for always liking my poetry. I nominated you for an award: http://apoetryjourney.wordpress.com/2014/08/31/one-lovely-blog-award/
Thank you so much for the nomination my friend. I do hope that you won’t be offended, but I have not been accepting awards for over a year now. I keep meaning to post a little blurb on my blog, but somehow it keeps getting pushed to the back burner. I really appreciate all of the likes and comments that people give me, that is award enough. I’m sorry about this, but I do want you to know how much I appreciate the fact that you even considered nominating me.
I totally understand. I normally don’t do it either – too busy chasing my son around and trying to get published. This one just happened to pop into my lap at the right time. That’s why I did it. I am not offended at all. You are a constant supporter of mine, thanks for that.
Thank you for the understanding and keep up the great work my friend. 🙂
Thanks. You too.
