Really makes you wonder if our species is inherently selfish and ‘evil’. All of us good-hearted people are genetic anomalies. Maybe like the next step in moral evolution. Not really sure where I’m going with this.

There is something to this. I think it may be the other way around in that the truly selfish and evil are the anomalies, at least I would like to believe this. One can only hope.

Maybe. I think the reason I was leaning the other way is because the selfish and evil tend to get into power more often than the compassionate. Keep hoping somebody takes over and isn’t a biased, greedy prick that will do more harm than good.
