Civil rights ignored
Skin color determines rules
The sixties again
We clearly haven’t progressed
Far beyond our racist past

Wow! Powerful and potentially polarizing words. Thanks.

Well they may indeed be polarizing, but I think the facts speak for themselves. Far too frequently there is some new event that comes to light showing unwarranted violence against African Americans by the police. I caught this one on the news this morning http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/08/us/indiana-police-taser-window-smash/index.html?hpt=hp_t4 from an incident in September. Granted no one died thank God, but it still was completely unnecessary and quite disturbing not to mention traumatizing for the children. Thanks again for the re-blog and the wonderful comment Steve, I really appreciate it.

Neo-conservatism reigns in post-modern flux. We have peeled off the back of the exponential population curve cyclic, through modernity, retrograde towards its end, then to this uncertainty.

I can’t argue with that my friend.

You are kind. It’s perhaps a bit full on.

The 1860s in some areas, as much as the 1960s ….

You are absolutely right, I suppose I could have used that just as easily. It is very sad that in the 21st century we haven’t really progressed.

        Pathetic really. :(

        It certainly is.

Yes it is, it seems like some new injustice occurs almost daily, very sad.
