Exsanguination,

Bloodletting of our nation

With every debate.

No discussion of issues

Just name calling like children.

Where is the substance?

Criticism solves nothing

Without solutions.

Since time immemorial

We have held this as the truth.

Today words of fools

Supplant our common senses.

Fear now rules our day,

Seen in every passing face;

Breaking our union apart.

What is it they want,

Their finger on the button

Ultimate power?

They are the ones we should fear

If in silence we’d listen.

I wonder if this is the election that anger and high emotions win over logic and humanity. Might some dark times ahead no matter what.

  It seems that it may be Charles, there are far too many people buying into their garbage and let me tell you it is scary. You are probably right, we are in for some darker times before thing brighten.

    It can’t end well. The anger either rules for the next few years or it loses and tries to cause trouble until another chance to take the leadership. Just wake me in time for the anarchy riots, so I can get a head start on hiding.

    Unfortunately I think that some kind of “revolution” peaceful or otherwise is the only thing that will save this country. Of course I could just be a pessimist.

I wonder what the definition of being Presidential means to them? Politicians are quick to point a finger to whom they think doesn’t have the temperament to be President, yet they all stand there and call each other names. Tiresome and predictable. Your poem says it all!

  Thank you, I wonder that myself. This country needs something of substance not name calling and childish behavior. What gets me most is that there are people that by their garbage as if it is gospel.

    everyone needs help,
    including those who
    espouse hate in their speeches.
    presented with socialism or fascism
    such strong ideologies,
    converging offer citizens a chance
    to choose the light or dark.
