To speak for those that are mute
Injecting logic
In this illogical world
Fighting the way I know how
With pen and paper
The written is the sword
I wield with honor
Far mightier than the tongue
Brandished til the day I die

Lies not with the warmongers
They have lead us here
Killing is not the answer

“What what the hell do you want from me”; John screamed at his crying wife! No matter how much overtime he worked there was never enough money to cover the bills.
The only thing he could think of was that maybe it was time to cash in the life insurance.

Hidden amongst the shadows
They’ve no need to act
We are already afraid
Thanks to our politicians
Without a shot fired
We’ve cowered and raised the flag
Handing them the win

Could you be trusted,
To do the right thing,
To love thy neighbor,
Be charitable,
Work for the common good,
Protect the weak,
Temper the strong,
Care for the old,
Protect the young,
Heal the sick,
Be kind to all,
Hold your tongue,
Respect opinions,
Treat everyone as equal,
Not tread on another’s path,
Live in peace,
Love?
Could you be trusted,
I think not.
For if you could there would be no need for laws.
