Gone (Triple Tetractys)

Gone

My Youth

My Freedom

The adventure

Giving way to a cautious existence

The price we pay for our maturation

If we let it

Restricting

Joyless

Dead

Fight

Rise up

Remember

Your days gone by

While breathing it is not too late to live

Thank you Patty, I had fallen into this and I am trying very hard to change it. :)

Oh I so enjoy your poems, Dom–you remind me that there are other forms available for me to write (I’ve grown rather lazy of late–but with NaPoWriMo just around the corner, I’m “saving my strength”–hah!). The whole deal about aging still contains the power of choice–we may indeed face some limitations, but we can focus on what we’re still able to do. It’s all about creativity, and willingness to look in new directions, right? And plenty of gratitude that we’re still here able to choose. God bless your weekend!

God bless your weekend as well my friend. I think have of aging is in the mind, I have to admit that do act quite juvenile at times, so my wife tells me, but hey that’s what keeps us young. :)

Yes, at least half of aging is a mental deal. Your wife sounds delightful! I’m so not a traveler, but if I ever make my way to the desert, you’ll recognize me coming up your driveway with arms full of food.
