About

I have been thinking of changing my about page for some time now.  Although I am still working on my novel, I have been enjoying the process of writing poetry.

At the present time, I am going to make my primary focus writing poetry and refining my skills.  I know that I have a long way to go, but the process thus far has been extremely fulfilling.  I hope that you will continue to go along with me for the ride.

I’d like to offer thanks to everyone who has been supporting me through this effort, I appreciate each and every one of you.  I hope that in return, I can offer the same support to you that you have already shown me.

Dom

  1. I’m always awed when a new ‘traveler’ enters my atmosphere and ‘likes’ some of my work; it makes me feel good about myself. I don’t reach far out into space so you stopping by is appreciated. I thank you for your visits. Reading your poem, ‘Passing Time,’ is a good reflection of moods I get in ever so often. I will await your forthcoming book. You write well. My best to you and yours.

    • Same to you as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my work. I try to get around to everyone’s sites that I follow though sometimes I am unable due to time constraints. In any case thank you, I really appreciate your nice comment and your taking the time to stop by. Be well my friend. I hope we get to chat again in the future.

    • Thank you very much, I so glad that you like it. I actually saw a reference to “D’Verse” at the bottom of a fellow bloggers poem just the other day, but I haven’t yet researched it. I think I will make a point of looking at it. By the way, I like your work as well. I look forward to reading more of it in the near future. Thanks again.

  4. Your posts are an inspirational read. I read quite a lot of them and I appreciate your style and vocabulary, plus the way you make a reader visualize what you have written. Lovely poems and a nice blog! :-D

    • Thank you Meka for the wonderful nomination, I am truly honored, however some time ago I decided to decline all award acceptances as I receive all of the recognition that I need from the kind “Likes” and comments that I get from my fellow bloggers, such as yourself. I hope that you are not offended, I really do appreciate that you think enough of my writing to nominate me. Be well my friend. :)

      • I’m offended in no way Dom. Perhaps I can admit now that I don’t actually follow whether ‘nominees’ follow up with awards lol. I am aware that many feel that way; I actually felt that way the first time although I felt honored like you do. But I actually like to read blogs because I’m an ‘ol writer– just new to sharing my personal work with others-especially fiction, so I comment often because I have something to say. I have wanted to do this for a while so I genuinely admire you all. So please know that it is my pleasure to say nice things about your work. To me, you have done all you need to do by sharing it with me and again by knowing how I feel about it. These awards so far have come in an interval that allows me to say more than I have time for daily and is appropriate in a comment… like this one haha! And sometimes the impact of something read isn’t immediate;they remind me to do that, but that’s my problem- not yours, so I would never expect you to change a habit for that reason. BTW, I also won’t be offended or check to see to see if you delete this one. But, I will return soon and often because I like it here :)

    • Thank you so much my friend for the great awards, I am truly honored. My hope is that you will not be offended, but I stopped accepting awards some time ago as I get all the satisfaction that I need from my readers likes and their occasional comments. I am very happy that you are enjoying my poetry and I hope that you come by often. Again, I really do appreciate the nominations. :)

    • Thank you Kerrie, I so appreciate the nomination, I am truly honored. With great regret I have to decline the award. I stopped accepting awards almost a year ago choosing instead to get all of the reward I need from your likes and comments. I hope that you are not offended my friend and again thank you so much for the award.

      • Of course I’m not offended! :)

This was the first time I had been nominated for an award, and I had no idea that people abstained from them. So I didn’t check, and just picked the blogs based on my feelings towards them.

Just take it as an indication of how much I enjoy reading your poems :D

      • Oh, this isn’t your fault, I never posted it on my blog. Like I said, I really do appreciate being nominated, it does mean a lot that people think enough of my writing to do it. :)

    • Thank you so much for the nomination, I truly appreciate that you think enough of my writing to offer this to me. Unfortunately I stopped accepting awards a little over a year ago,I hope that you won’t be offended, but I must decline. Please realize how honored I am that you even chose me for the nomination.
