Shadowy mountain

Pressed against the moonlit night

Lonesome cries echo

Who is so drenched in sorrow

That their tears will not subside

Solitary howl

A distant screech cracks the dark

Both eerie and sad

I kneel in prayer for solace

And the coming light of day
