An Interminable Succession

Trapped in an interminable succession,

Love, hate,

Happiness, sadness,

Joy, anger

Tolerant, intolerant,

Fear, confidence,

Belief, disbelief.

This cyclone of existence, bleeds me from the inside,

Every ounce of energy expended to maintain equilibrium.

Ups, downs,

Highs, lows,

Gravitating my emotions in tumultuous ways,

Exhausting my spirit to the soul’s core.

I am left a molten mass,

Raw nerves exposed to open air,

Sensitive to every sensation,

Yet helpless to defend.

I guess I really am human after all.

  1. what is it ‘they’ say – we all need balance – yeh, right. easy to say, hard to do. some recommend taking yoga, meditation…. – i say a good balance these days – for me – is a combination of milk and dark chocolate:)

    • I’ve tried yoga…it is much, much harder than it looks. The milk and dark chocolate sounds great, but I would probably wind up in a diabetic coma (my kids would find it funny). :)

  2. Hey, you right gud.
I appreciate the follow, its a new experience for me to have a sort of writing community to share with back and forth. I don’t get that too much anywhere else.
And always encouraging of course to see writing for the love of it and the love of everything else.
