Not so much a specific incident, but the general loss of our farmland to development. I have watched the farms around my area be sold off and houses erected on what use to be cotton fields. I’m sure that this is occurring nationwide and if it hasn’t already become problematic (purchasing our food from China), it will become so in the near future.

Excellent! Yes, I love your long poems, but this was so succinct it leapt out and grabbed me by the throat.
I’m glad, this is an issue that I find disturbing and found it very easy to voice in the brevity of a haiku. Thank you Anna.
