Our circle of love
Forged in a golden token
Worn on our left hands
Once held sacred before God
Is now a Cracker Jack prize

It’s a shame how the sanctity of marriage has been diminished in recent decades… something so very sacred… promises made… commitments made, now just ‘words’ on a piece of paper that is as disposable as the stack of yesterdays newspapers piled up by the trash bin. I’ve been hard pressed to find anyone who knows how to keep a promise or even tell the truth anymore. How sad is that?
That is incredibly sad. People seem to think that being committed is only plausible when times are good, but that certainly is not how real life works, we have to take the good with the bad. In the end if you love someone, together you can make it through the tough times. Its just the way things are and that will never change. Unfortunately, it seems as though, when things get rough we just call it quits and move on. One can spend a lifetime being very lonely if that is how they approach relationships. Thank you for the nice compliment and the thoughtful comment my friend. :)
I agree… real love… is present in good and not so good times…regardless. Can’t turn the heart on/off like a light switch… at least I can’t. When I love, I love forever. Guess I’m an old fashioned hopeless romantic.
Some times I wonder if certain people should get their rings from a Cracker Jack box.

Excellent piece my friend.

I would imagine there are a good number of people that should.
Beautiful but sad.
Thank you very much, I couldn’t agree with you more, it is sad.
