I think the haiku is one of the greatest poem forms. It’s so simple and short, but you can say a lot with it. Truthfully, I think it helps a poet focus on their ideas to get to the poem’s essence. I think I just went a little too college poetry class preachy on that one.
I love this form of poetry as well. I always find it challenging to write, unfortunately sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Thank you so much for your constant support and your kind comments.
You’re welcome. I try haikus too and I find them easier than longer poems for some reason. Though, you’re right that they don’t always work and can lead to a few moments of being annoyed at that one pesky, extra syllable.
