Frequently I drift
Into my minds dark corners
Deep…hidden away
Where others cannot find me
Here I shield my hopes and dreams

Great title and first line – drew me in right away. Frequently I drift, too…. :)
Thanks Melody, drifting is not a bad thing, I think it is part of our creativity. :)
Absolutely! :)
I rift quite frequently too. Perhaps we will meet in our drifted minds… :)

I knew what you meant, I done that myself so many times that its just nice to know I’m not the only one. :)
That is very possible, I’ll look forward to it. :)
I think this is true for most of us! :)
I like your poem!
Thank you Matt, I would agree that most of us have this in us. :)
No kidding, right? I feel in a semi-dark place. Digging myself out involves writing. WhenI’m happy, I paint. :)
I guess we all have our own tools to dig ourselves out. I’m thankful that I love to write, but to be multi-talented would be very cool. I always wanted to paint, but never really tried. I used to do charcoals and pastels, but haven’t done that in over 20 years. Maybe someday I’ll pick it up again…who knows. Keep writing and painting and stay happy. :)
I never painted. Pastels and charcoal were my thing.
Gee we must be twins separated by years and different parents. :)
Another life, perhaps?
Perhaps you are correct.
Lovely.
Thank you very much.
Sometimes I drift so far it is difficult to return to reality… Beautiful!
Thank you Anna. I think I drifted away long ago…so far away that I don’t know where I am anymore. :)
