Haboob swallowing daylight

Welcome the dust bowl

Author’s Note: Monsoon season is here in Arizona and these walls of dust are quite frequent visitors.  What an awesome sight.

    • They are pretty incredible to see. The sky goes brown with all the grit in the air, the winds pick up and you can hardly see a thing, of course you wind up with dirt in your eyes if you look into it without eye protection. They really are pretty cool.

    • Thank you very much. They are really pretty awesome to see, but they do leave a mess in their wake. All I can say is don’t wash the car if they are calling for dust storms. :)
