Proponent for the poor as the Good Book says,
Obeying the word divinely inspired in antiquity.
Practicing that which has for so long been preached,
Even amongst ever growing unpopularity.
Finally–perhaps a corner has been turned,
Revealing a man worthy of this sacrosanct reign.
Allowing himself to be humbled as others had not learned;
Nursing those whose lives epitomize great pain.
Could his motives be this solemn and pure
Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm so commanded;
Saving of souls through teaching assured,
…this as our God has demanded.

I am so hopeful about this Pope —
Another GREAT tribute, Dom. :)
I am not Catholic, but I find this man to be very genuine, it is wonderful to see. :)
I think that by not being Catholic you have been able to take on this subject with a perspective that is needed to capture it in it’s truth.
Thank you for saying so. I have been critical of Catholicism at times as well as other religions, but when something good seems to be happening it should also be recognized. I am very hopeful for this man, he seems so genuine to me practicing what he preaches even with his much elevated status within the church. His humble roots seem so ingrained that it is refreshing to see. :)
Being critical is good as well. Constructive criticism is key to growth. So you’ll hear no complaint from me :)
Thank you, I couldn’t agree more, constructive criticism should be viewed as an opportunity for growth.
