O’ silvery ghost
Muted light bathes tear-stained cheeks
Shed for my lost love
I beg you–grant me mercy
As I mourn my selfish loss
I was not worthy
Offering only safety
While she offered love
Blame squarely sits upon me
As I fade into the night

Oh wowza–I want more of this.
Well thank you, I was just in one of those types of moods. :)
Ah lovely, Dominic, may I reblog this?
Thank you so much and yes you may absolutely reblog this if you still would like to. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. :)
Reblogged this on Traces of the Soul and commented:
It`s spring…what better time to read love poems…check this one and many other lovely poems, sonnets, haiku and many other forms, at Dominic`s blog https://blackandwrite.wordpress.com
Thank you very much for the reblog and I apologize for the delay in acknowledging it. :)
No problem, Dominic, you needn’t acknowledge but I am happy to say hello:) Hope Spring is getting closer to your place…I can’t believe I am wishing for rain to wash some of this snow away and off my car! Blessings, Oliana
Spring has been here for a couple of months now. We have been in the 70’s and 80’s for the most part since late January, early February. Right now it is a beautiful sunny 75 degrees. Sorry to brag, but our weather has really been wonderful. It so nice to hear from you Oliana, I hope that all has been well with you and that you do get the rain that washes your snow away. :)
Oh! I want your weather NOW…it has been a long winter and maybe with age and living alone, it seems longer than usual. I am well, Dominic, just anxious to get out for my long walks to take pics of life around me inthe city and make up stories to go with it:) I have not read many blogs this winter either…writing seems to be a needed therapy of late. Blessings xx
This is the best time of year hear, it really is why we live here. I hope that your weather improves soon, being stuck indoors is just plain depressing. Keep writing and hope that spring arrives sooner rather than later. :)
That darn snow won’t let up…off and on all weekend…but May shall be here soon….lol
You can only hope, the one thing I don’t miss about winter is the snow. I grew up with it and now, since I have been out of it for a dozen years, don’t miss it one bit.
Nope I do not miss it all…like I have mentioned in my Welcome page, I like snow up to December 26th and that is it.
I couldn’t agree more. Its fine at Christmas, but other than that I can do without it. :)
