Many times we are. Somehow we are never really happy with ourselves.
Very true. Fine line between self-loathing and admitting where you need work. At least I think those are the terms I’m looking for.

Hear, hear – obviously we were raised by similar parents, instilling duty, duty, duty and little self-esteem – a product of their own childhood. Or?
I suppose we are all products of our parents (not just in the physical sense) as is to be expected. I tend to think that any self-esteem issues that I have have more to do with my own self-imposed vision of myself, but who knows this is a psychological question and therefore maybe I need some serious counseling. :)
And you can never escape your enemy if they are in your head along with you.
That is for sure, fortunately I don’t live there for very long…it comes and goes.
I do believe this is where we start.. where we start to find peace “out there,” We must make peace inside first. I know it’s possible and I have hope.
As do I, I know that it is possible as well and I am working very hard to find that place. :)
Or find the peace that is already there.. hidden :)
Perhaps, though at times this can be difficult. :)
