Yes it is most definitely real as is a lot of forms of depression and anxiety. It’s too bad this society stigmatizes it

I hid my pain behind smiles and laughter for 40 years until I had a complete physical and mental breakdown. Post traumatic stress is very real and does stay with you. We who live with it everyday are amazingly strong, courageous people.
Indeed you are. I feel fortunate that I don’t have it, but my son does and it comes out every now and then in unexpected ways. Thank you for sharing.
