Grand Canyon Winter

Grand Canyon winter

Buttes caped in the whitest robes

Pure and unspoiled

A picture perfect postcard

Painted by the Master’s hand

≈

A beautiful sight

Burnished under an endless sky

Her majesty unchallenged

She harbors life in this cold

Though her shores appear barren

≈

Deer, eagle, rabbit

All survive her harsh winter

As done for eons

Wondrous in their fortitude

Man has yet to ruin them

 ≈

Protected from harm

One of the seven wonders

She most surely is

May this always be so

For generations to come

  1. Let’s hope so – hoping it stays protected and beautiful — hoping all we visitors don’t love it to pieces. o.O

    Great series —
