Yes. This is true. Could you imagine if one day we woke up a set of wings. It would be cool and liberating.
It sure would although I would be like an Ostrich since I really don’t like heights. :)

I know this is meant to be a humorous piece, but the lines ‘If man’s truly meant to fly/He would sprout feathers and wings’ got to me from an emotional standpoint. I reflected on the idea of wanting to fly away to a better place, both in location and in my life in general. Sometimes, I do feel like the caged bird in Maya Angelou’s famous poem, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way…
I’m glad it touched you even though as you say it was meant to be a humorous piece. I sometimes wish that I too could fly away to a better place, but I suppose that it is only natural from time to time when difficulties face us.
