Joy in the melody of the sparrow’s song,
I sit in wonderment at the skies varied palette.
As though an observer, I feel I don’t belong,
Second fiddle in this heavenly ballad.
.
Yet my premise is false, I am part the story,
Woven into the fabric of our universe.
Sharing in its pain and relishing in its glory,
Though my time is for certain most terse.
.
Revealing in it’s beauty, I’m astonished by the day,
How perfection could have happen by chance.
A Universal Spirit must surely have had it’s way,
In this earthly and spiritual fire dance.
.
With each passing day, O’ how little I know,
Though I wouldn’t miss the chance to see the show.

Gorgeous Dom…You know I love a Sonnet :)
Thank you Morgan and yes I do know that you are a Sonnet aficionado which makes your comment all the more appreciated. :)
Ha, I never thought of myself that way, but that’s kinda a cool idea ;)
I meant it my friend. :)
:) I know..and I do thank you ever so much :) I just like the way that sounds :)
A very special sonnet Dom!
Thank you very much Gilly. :)
I heard the tweets of a cardinal couple yesterday. It was wonderful. I do love hearing the birds sing. There is something about the voices and sweet little bodies as they fly by. Wonderful;). xx
Well I’m glad, it sure has been a long time coming for you. I hope that you spring gets to you soon rather than later. Thank you my friend. :)
Reblogged this on huntprayerpoems.
Thank you so much for the re-blog, truly appreciate it. :)
It seems springtime is agreeing with you. :~)
It is, spring has been here in Arizona for quite some time now. I’ve had my vegetable garden planted for a few weeks now, with upper 70’s to low 80’s as our temperature average. Simply beautiful.
Sounds great. A garden certainly can help make everything seem better.
