Everything and anything to sleep
Standing on my head…no I can’t do that
Tick-tock goes the clock
Listening to the voice in my head
Eager for it to be silent
Staring into the darkness
Secure that it will be another sleepless night

Interesting – Secure that it will be another sleepless night? Trying to wrap my mind on the word play there.
I suppose that since this happens to me at least a few nights per week I have become comfortable with its occurrence and now use the time to do other things. Of course I would prefer to be sleeping, but I realize that it is not meant to be.
Been there many times, my friend. If not me, or my spouse-one of the two dogs are restless.
I don’t know about you, but this happens to me very frequently. Thank you for your support, it’s nice to know I’m not alone during those early morning hours. :)
