Rains cascade from the mountaintop
So fluid in its dance of desperation
Tumbling over granite shards
Impregnating the seed of the dormant bride
Soon she will welcome her offspring
Colorful and joyous
Springing from crack and crevice
To play amongst the warmth of the winds
Her groom–
Disappearing ever downward
Seeks slumber in the bed below
Having succumbed to destiny
Coyote and cacti feed from his humble remains
Quenching their arid thirst
Until at once
…He is no more

Great poem!
Thank you, I don’t get to write about rain too often here in Arizona, but this one was huge and well worth mentioning. 🙂

Thank you very much my friend. 🙂
Lots of rain for you as well, eh?
Yes it was and some never before seen flooding. I had about 5 inches of rain yesterday in about 3 hours, it really was amazing.
I hope it isn’t flooding.
We had flooding in places that we have never seen it before. Interstate 10 which runs from the east coast to the west coast was submerged under car roof high water, it was absolutely amazing. Almost every major freeway had parts of them shutdown because they were impassable.
