The sun bids goodnight
Never sorry for leaving
To call its lover
Dancing this eternal dance
Until its life fire dies

Pondering the path of my oft written word,
So much of my ink reeks of despair.
Wallowing in pity and the ills of this world,
Finding negativity to be very unfair.
~
Feeding and nurturing causes nothing but harm,
Perpetuating sadness to a greater degree.
Raising awareness and causing alarm,
Missing the good in all that I see.
~
Regret fills my heart for its adverse contribution,
Changing its path is my journey of life.
Believing in love instead of divine retribution,
Destined for virtue not sorrow and strife.
~
Sustaining the horrors of this world denies change,
Perpetual harm and devastation does it arrange.

Incredible is this gift given to the homosapien
Man’s God-given ability to dream
Allowing the subconscious to come to the forefront
Giving the illusion of reality
Ingrained so deeply yet out of our control
Natural as breathing or the beat of our hearts
And yet it is overlooked and treated as fancy
Tilled into the earth, buried for eternity
Isn’t it strange how the mind plays its games
Omnipotent in its ability to set lifes stage
Ne’er leaving a trace when exposed to the light of day

Another cold war
A game of chess that we lost
To an old rival
Who pays for incompetence
The citizens of Ukraine

Two simple words,
Three little letters,
Commanded by God eons ago.
Spoken with respect or not spoken at all.
Blasphemous if taken personally.
Held sacred in the Torah as in the Old Testament.
Otherworldly–
Holy–
Instilling fear in the faithful–
But why?
Are we not made of God,
In the image of God,
Each a Creator in our own right?
As written in first John,
“He who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
So why are we so afraid?
If I am filled with love… am I not love?
And therefore,
If I am love am I not…
I Am?

Sedentarianism O’ vile beast
Claiming many for gluttonous feast
Aches and pains we blame on age
Are nothing more than inactivities stage
Still we deny this is of our doing
Instead we choose to settle stewing
Looking to man and brew of witches
Falling for promises of curing pitches
With blinders on we grow ever fatter
Thinking the pills will solve what matters
When simply moving would do a world of good
Just as we always knew we should
Until it’s too late the damage is done
The beast–Sedentary, his battle won
Leads to the inevitable early grave
When so easily our death we could have stave
Were it not for this lazy and slippery foe
Run–or walk while you can its time to go

Another birthday
You would have been eighty five
It wasn’t to be
Your dream viewed as dangerous
They took you away too soon

My predicament
Funny unless you live it
Then it is just sad
Be cautious with ridicule
As it just might bite you back

Toil of the day
Drains every ounce of my strength
Cover me with dirt
