Shaken from a dream
Reality seems blurred
Which of them is real

Shaken from a dream
Reality seems blurred
Which of them is real
.
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Chaos corrals me
Only to cut me loose with a fury
Nothing makes sense anymore
Frying my feeble brain
Useless is it to resist
Steely is her grip
Instead I submit
Only to plunge deeper into the darkness
Never to return
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Streaks across the sky
An unnatural beauty
Contrails mosaic
.
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Serenading me
Songbirds in the cottonwoods
A lovely alarm
To wake to nature’s music
Just as Heaven intended
.
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
So many aches and pains
Never use to be this way
I could go for hours
Suddenly the years take toll
And the body does rebel
Very strange indeed
These natural frailties
That affect us all
One can cosmetically fight
But in the end…aging wins
~~ Dominic R DiFrancesco ~~
Works satisfaction
Goodness for the human soul
Man’s accomplishment
.
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Buzzing in my ear
Bees busy pollinating
Nothing to be feared
.
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Heart sings to my soul
A song only I can hear
Joyously living
.
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Discarded as trash
Its rough edges worn away
Beauty of sea glass
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Grey and sullen day
Sun muted by heaven’s cloak
From window chairs view
Birds and bees care little
Refusing to deviate
A glorious show
Playing out on natures stage
Standing ovation
