Morning Symphony (Haiku)

Morning symphony
Songbirds greet the rising sun
Beautiful alarm

The Cricket’s Swan Song (Haiku)

The cricket’s swan song
Farewell with seasons change
Returning in spring

Synergy Of Souls (Tanka)

Synergy of souls

Joined in spiritual quest

For life after death

Since the beginning of time

We have been seeking Heaven

Giving Of The Heart (Senryu)

Giving of the heart

Leaves one’s self vulnerable

There’s no greater thrill

Do You Hear Their Song (Haiku)

Do you hear their song
Baying to the lonesome moon
Coyotes crying

~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~

To Feel The Soil

To feel the soil

Rich and warm between fingers

Man planting his seed

Nurturing healthy body

With the fruits of his labor

For millennia

This was mans way to survive

Living off the land

We’ve lost our time tested path

Through the chaos–modern life

I, Of Spirit Walk (Tanka)

I, of spirit walk

With others on this journey

Each with their troubles

Their torment is also mine

For life is not a vacuum

~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~

Dawn Cracks The Night Sky (Haiku)

Dawn cracks the night sky

Blanketing the earth in light

Nature called to rise

~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~

Thank You Blessed Life

Thank you blessed life

Though full of tribulation

I am most happy

Yes, there is much I could have

But I’m in want of nothing

Deeply I Reach Into The Inner Well (Sonnet)

Deeply I reach into the inner well

In search of peace and love.

Picking it up from where it fell

I push it back up with a shove.

Caught up in emotion of circumstance,

Surrounded by sadness and gloom.

Needing to take a more positive stance

Away from feelings of impending doom.

Emotions running far too high,

My health will be paying the price.

If I don’t allow my anxiety to fly

The outcome won’t be so nice.

So time, it has come to put anger away and connect with the spiritual me,

Hoping this time it will come home to stay and at last I’ll be finally free.
