Grateful

Giving from the heart

Reaping rewards, enriching my soul

All for the benefit of others

This is what I strive to fulfill

Even though I am fatally flawed

Finally I realize my purpose

Understanding what it means to love

Lest I become what I most despise

Our Lives Ebb And Flow

Our lives ebb and flow

Between pain and pure pleasure

The wonders of life

False Security

False security

Fanaticism disguised

In propaganda

Confirming the masses fears

They so skillfully crafted

Buzzing In My Ears

Buzzing in my ears

Smell of flowers surrounds me

Humble bumble bee

Muddled Thoughts And Sour Mood

Muddled thoughts and sour mood,

So unlike for me to brood.

.

What and why I do not know,

Whilst I wait for it to go.

.

Twist of fate or slight of hand,

Either one would sure be grand.

.

To cheer me up and make me smile

Releasing me from this cursed trial.

.

But alas today it seems to be

Another day without much glee.

.

Clouds of pitch and torrential rains

Dampen my spirit and fog my brain.

.

Sure I know this too shall pass

For gloom this dark cannot last.

.

Until then most sullen I’ll be,

Awaiting the key that sets me free.

Honor Among Thieves

Honor among thieves

Missing from our politics

The lies keep coming

Corrupt Righteousness

Corrupt righteousness

Acting with omnipotence

Is pure ignorance

Destroying lives without shame

Leaving ruin in its wake

A Vicious Mistress

A vicious mistress

Blood red with sharpness of spine

How thirsty the rose

Look What I’ve Become

Look what I’ve become

Politics made me rigid

Intolerant me

~

Opposing views annoy me

Bringing out my darker side

~

And I have to say

I don’t like it one little bit

It disappoints me

Freedom Of Speech Hurts

Freedom of speech hurts

When offered with hate in mind.

Pious hypocrites,

You hide behind religion

Twisting the words of your God!

What would Christ have done!

He’d overturn your tables

And dump your self righteous coins

Like the vile money changers in your book

That’s what comes to mind

In the end, who will be judged

You or those you persecute?

Perhaps a look in the mirror is in order.
