Revered and reviled

In modernity and antiquity,

Very few realize she is dying.

Ever less grand she trickles;

Redirected for selfishness sake.

Justify as you will,

Only time will reveal your fate.

Reality will creep in upon you,

Draining your life blood

As you have drained hers…

Never realizing until its too late.

Illness (Tanka)

Illness…religion

One thing brings out the other

Prayers for better health

Sickness shows the frailty

That only Heaven can cure

Quiet At Sunrise (Haiku)

Quiet at sunrise

Daybreak’s very first moment

Peaceful as it gets

The passage of time

Only man feels its effects

Because he watches

Imagination

Imagination is…

Inspiration for the painter’s brush,

Muse for the writer’s quill,

Angst for the actor’s role,

Gas for the engine of invention,

Irreverence to the twisted of mind,

Nuance for the singers song,

Ability for those challenged,

Tenacity in the hearts of the weak,

Ingenuity in the hands of the creative,

Omniscience in the eyes of the faithful,

Nobility in the lives of the insignificant,

…And so much more.

Modern Art Skyline (Tanka)

Carrying the Instrument

Carrying the instrument of your own death

Jeering crowds spitting and taunting as you go

Forgive them Father for they know not what they do

Cried with sincerity for these misguided souls

Even in this ultimate humiliation

Your faith never faltered

And by that we have been saved

…How could you not love Him

Colossal Mistake

Colossal mistake

Of Biblical proportions

Unforgivable

Most vilified of mortals

Christ’s Judas Iscariot

To Believe or Not

To believe or not

Is a question of one’s faith

As it’s always been.

We can never know for sure

Until we leave this body,

Whether their is more

Or if this is all there is.

So…what will it be?
