Blinded by the sun
Heaven showing it’s glory
To lesser beings

Blinded by the sun
Heaven showing it’s glory
To lesser beings

A life spent looking
How will we know when we’re there
I’m really not sure
We can’t see our destiny
I guess that’s part of the fun

Old dogs learn new tricks
Though maybe not as quickly
Patience a virtue
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Blame, cursed blame eats at the soul
Recusing the heart from feeling…loving
Oblivions incessant darkness shadows every breath
Knocking on every door selling its wretched wares
Even goodness recognized is stymied by the gauntlet
Nothing is permitted passage for fear of pain
No one is let beyond the citadel’s ramparts
Entry can not be bought as the heart’s gate is closed
Strangled by pity and destined for loneliness
Sadness ravages because we cannot let go

Buds
Sparrows
Defy cold
Fickle winter
Sensing springs approach
Something man never could
Having lost touch with nature
Too absorbed with things of this world
He is merely along for the ride
Technology and ignorance stunt him
Now he must live as a passenger
Trusting meteorology
A most imperfect science
To decipher nature
While birds and buds thrive
In harmony
with instincts
That man
Lost

Home away from home
Not decorated to taste
But comfortable
TV’s glow, companionship
Another lonely hotel
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
There’s nothing to fear
Death cannot hostage my soul
For it’s immortal
Born and reborn many times
Until reaching perfection
When it is released
Into the Lord’s loving hands
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Speak to me, whisper the tenderest of words
My ears and heart art open to thy love
There is nothing more that needest be heard
This I do vow before God up above
My love, dearest love, thou art more precious than gold
Thy love and life cherished above my own
This I do promise from thy youth to age old
I’ll strive my whole life to have shown
In the stars it was written before time began
Two souls were destined to be one
Our walk through eternity wouldst be hand-in-hand
From dawn until life’s setting sun
I promise to thee my undying love, with God as my witness on high
Sweet and as pure as the snow white dove, committed to thee ‘til I die
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~~
Sun rises orange
Coloring its cloud canvas
Unable to warm
Winter’s hold is ever strong
‘Til spring unleashes its wrath
~~ Dominic R. DiFrancesco ~
Virgin snow now black
Whore to man’s road salt and grime
The gutter its grave
